ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, Manage and Accountability (LMA)
• Escalate issues to Project Managers and the Head of Marketing.
• Communicate key marketing headlines and messages from the Head of Marketing to your project team.
• Develop and implement project strategy.
Lead Generation and Product Marketing
· Campaign management through email marketing tools such as HubSpot and Canva.
· Oversee product marketing SEO strategies.
· Develop fact-based quantitative analysis to support recommendations driving leads for Sales and Content teams.
· Conduct market analysis and map the competitive landscape.
· Create and maintain product marketing collateral.
· Create and maintain website and product landing pages.
· Maintain and communicate inventory of marketing assets to the team.
· Make recommendations to Head of Marketing and Project Managers for resources and specialists to support special projects as needed.
· Ensure the marketing calendar accurately reflects campaign milestones in conjunction with marketing strategy.
Ticket Sales and Event Marketing
· Collaborate with the sales and events teams to create targeted marketing campaigns aimed at maximizing ticket sales and event attendance.
· Partner with your project team to set monthly ticket sales goals for assigned events and track performance against those goals, ensuring alignment with overall event objectives.
· Analyze sales data and audience engagement metrics to adjust marketing strategies and ensure event success.
· Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to enhance sales and event performance.
Website and Digital Marketing
· Track and analyze data and performance metrics.
· Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
· Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
· Address conversion points and optimize user funnels.
· Make recommendations to the Head of Marketing and provide recommendations on timeline and strategy.
Other
• Attend Kayo events and help support event execution.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
· 1-3 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or event marketing, including internships.
· Sales-driven mindset with experience contributing to achieving sales goals.
· Strong analytical skills for market trends and sales data analysis.
· Excellent communication skills for creating marketing materials and collaborating with teams.

Director of Product
SUMMARY
Directors of Product are experienced Team Leaders and Project Managers who are responsible for managing the success of one of Kayo’s Product Lines. This is a new position to support Kayo’s growing organization and will require flexibility and adaptability as we restructure our teams for scale.
The Director of Product role might be the right fit if you:

You will have at least two direct reports, a Project Manager who executes the project management day-to-day and Community Engagement Associate/Director who is responsible for event quality, speaker recruitment and attendee relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA)
- Leader of the Fundraising and Investor Relations Project Team.
- Lead weekly Project team meetings.
- Manage Project Managers and Community Engagement Associate/Directors.
- Oversee all Project Milestones.
- Discern project plans to ensure event timelines and deliverables are on track.
- Apply logical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges and adapt plans as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance, ensuring team members are clear on goals and expectations.
- Demonstrate the ability to both execute tasks and effectively delegate responsibilities, ensuring efficient project completion.
- Communicate proactively and clearly with your team members, manager, and leadership to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to review progress, provide feedback, and address challenges.
- Provide weekly All-Project Reports to the Integrator.
- Oversee All-Project Scorecards.
- Ensure the team is aligned with Kayo’s event vision and strategy.
Financial Accountability
- Responsible for your Product Line’s financial results (revenue and gross profit).
- Monitor the P&L for your Product Line, ensuring your Product Line is delivering on its financial goals.
- Oversee Monthly Reconciliations and Forecasting for your Product Line.
- Oversee all Contracts and Vendors, ensuring that contracts meet Kayo standards and risks are identified and mitigated.
Event Production and Project Management
- Master Kayo’s 5-P Event Planning Process.
- Oversee and train your team to execute the 5-P Process, which includes the creation, tracking, and execution of detailed event project plans and timelines.
- Serve as a problem-solving resource, helping the team address logistical challenges and adapt to evolving event needs.
- Manage cross-departmental collaboration (marketing, sales, programming) to ensure cohesive and successful event execution.
- Lead and mentor the Project Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure accountability for project deliverables.
- Source and negotiate with vendors, manage event budgets, and lead on-site execution.
- Lead post-event wrap-up tasks and conduct a thorough event post-mortem to continuously improve processes.
Speaker Recruitment, Community Engagement & Quality Control
- Oversee Kayo’s speaker recruitment and engagement process for your Product line.
- Ensure demographic and quality metrics are met for your Products.
- Coach the team in building strong relationships with prospective speakers, ensuring smooth transitions and effective engagement.
- Understand and ensure compliance with CRM (HubSpot) best practices for all speakers and attendees.
- Oversee the Speaker Journey for your Project ensuring a seamless experience for all speakers.
Customer Experience
- Ensure the team is focused on delivering an exceptional experience for attendees and speakers at all Kayo events.
- Provide guidance on anticipating attendee needs and developing proactive solutions (e.g., FAQs, registration processes).

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience leading teams. Track record of successfully managing and developing teams, including setting clear goals and expectations.
- Experience in recruiting, business development, or event management, ideally within the finance or investment industries.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Experience in budget management and knowledge of basic P&L metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal teams, speakers, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in delegating tasks effectively and empowering team members to take ownership while maintaining accountability for overall project success.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities to guide teams through complex challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience working with CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiar with vendor negotiation.

Sales Reporting

Cross Team Collaboration
- Product: Be an active participant in 2-4 projects as the Business Development Team sales representative.
- Event Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and creative, to design sponsorship opportunities and share insight from sponsors.
- Marketing: Use your insights to support the Marketing Team’s improvement of Sales Collateral and messaging regarding customers’ specific needs and pain points.
Represent Kayo at Events
- Attend and support our amazing team at Kayo virtual and in-person events (when sponsor clients are involved).
- Client service; be the best part of every client’s day.
